Youth Employment & Empowerment

Youth employment and empowerment was one of the four priority areas identified by the Government of Sierra Leone in consultation with the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) in 2006.  This section covers a selection of issues facing youth in Sierra Leone that present specific obstacles to employment and empowerment, including issues facing former child soldiers, education, training, reintegration and community building.
